Pravina and Sanjay met January 31, 2015. A year later, Sanjay proposed with a glass of champagne and the stunning backdrop of the Empire State Building on Pravina’s birthday.
The pair were married in a traditional South Indian Hindu wedding at the Hartford Marriott Downtown. They were joined by family and friends from around the world to celebrate their union, traditions, bonding and fun.
Beautiful and elaborate wedding attire worn by the bride, groom, and wedding party were brought from Bangalore, India, where extended family of Pravina and Sanjay live.
The mandap, a ceremonial wedding stage, was created in the ballroom of the hotel, and decorated in maroon and golden fabrics of silk and velvet with expertly embroidered patterns, fresh lines of jasmine flown in from South India, brass bells, and floating candles to list just a few items that made up the stunning ceremony.
