Mariah and Mike met in high school when they both ran track. Eventually Mike asked Mariah to his senior prom and they started dating. They were long distance for two years while Mike was away at UConn, but Mariah ended up going to Eastern Connecticut State University so they could be closer. After college, Mike matched for residency in Miami, Florida, so they moved there together.
After Mike finished his residency, the couple traveled home to Connecticut for a couple weeks to see their families. During this time Mike bought an engagement ring and asked Mariah’s dad. Once they returned to Florida, Mike set up a dinner reservation at a restaurant on the ocean called South Pointe Park in Miami Beach. This spot was one of the first places the couple went to when they first visited Miami. When they arrived, Mike gave Mariah a book he made with pictures of them spanning the 10 years of their relationship. Once Mariah finished going through the book, Mike proposed with a hidden photographer there to capture the moment!
Initially, the couple thought about having their wedding in Florida, but it was really important for them to have all of their friends and family there for their special day. Once they visited the TPC River Highlands, they knew right away that it was the perfect spot. They were amazed by the breath-taking views and the beautiful reception room.
Mariah’s wedding style was modern yet romantic with whites, creams, dusty pinks, and navy blues incorporated throughout the day from the bridal party’s dresses and suits to the flowers. The reception tables included different pictures of the couple over the last 10 years of their relationship. Every detail was thoughtfully done!
Mariah and Michael, thank you for including us in your special day and we hope your honeymoon to Greece was amazing!
