Ali and Chris are our “2018 Love Story” winners.

This sweet couple met during their freshman year of college and grew close quickly, pulling all-nighters while listening to music, dancing in the middle of the campus streets, and watching the stars in the skies above the Cliff Walk in Newport. Ali says she knew Chris was special the minute she met him.

Ali said: “I plan to grow old with Chris, and one day when we’re reminiscing in rocking chairs on our front porch, I’d like to look back at photos of a time when we were once young and starting out our life together.”

We began the shoot with Ali and Chris in an intimate home setting. We enjoyed capturing the couple doing the things they love: dancing, playing, and spending quality time together. We love how a lifestyle session makes for a cozy and relaxed experience.

Then we hopped in the car and took a road trip to Salve Regina University where Ali and Chris’s love story began. We encourage couples to choose a location that is meaningful to them, and this one certainly holds so many memories.

As the mist rolled in we rushed to The Lighthouse, a favorite hangout for Ali and Chris . We love how the clouds and mist made for a romantic and dramatic backdrop. A reminder you don’t alway need the sunshine for your perfect engagement shoot.
