The day of Caroline and Thane’s wedding was filled with energy and vibrancy. We arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn, in Milford, CT, where Caroline got dressed with her bridesmaids. The room was filled with such gorgeous natural light, it was a photographers dream! Caroline wore a long dress with a lace overlay, and stunning pearl jewelry. Her bridesmaids wore navy dresses which went along with the color theme of navy, peach, and light pink. Caroline chose a theme which reflects her own personal style and refers to it as “simple elegance”. Her day was a perfect reflection of her classy and beautiful personality!
They chose to have the wedding at St. James Church, followed by a reception at Racebrook Country Club. The couple decided on this reception venue since they found it to be a perfect balance of both of their personalities. Thane loves to golf (he even put out personalized golf tees at the reception) and Caroline loved the huge back porch. The couple told us that the back porch reminded them a bit of some of the beautiful country clubs down in Kiawah, SC - this is where Thane’s family has a summer home. The couple wanted the guests to feel as special as they did and celebrate marriage, so there was an “anniversary dance” where all married couples were invited to the dance floor. The band ETA played their wedding song while the band leader slowly asked couples to leave until the couple that was married the longest were the last dancing.
Caroline and Thane, we hope you enjoyed zip-lining, touring volcanoes, and hiking during your honeymoon in Hawaii. It was so wonderful getting to know you both. We wish you nothing but the best starting your next chapter in life together! We hope you enjoy your wedding photos!
