They met at the Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, GA. Wendy was a graphic design and advertising major and Michael was an industrial design major. It was fate that brought them together one night at a Halloween party, standing across from each other at the head of their very first beer pong challenge. Wendy was dressed as a football player and Michael was dressed as Where's Waldo. Wendy won the game, and since then - they've been inseparable.
Two days before closing on their first home, Wendy was having a really stressful day. To cheer her up, Michael decided to stop and pickup some of her favorite frozen yogurt on the way home. Little did Wendy know that yogurt would change her life. She told us that Michael is the best at surprising her when she needs it most - and that he did. Midway through indulging, Wendy found what seemed to be a plastic bag with a ring in it. That's when Michael got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. If that isn't the cutest way to brighten someones day, I don't know what else is.
The rest was history. Wendy and Michael decided to have their wedding at Addison Park in Aberdeen, NJ. It was a magical black tie affair. The grand foyer posed as an elegant backdrop with its sweeping double staircase. We used this area to photograph Wendy and Michael's first look. It was breathtaking to see Wendy tip-toe down the stairs to see Michael for the first time. We're so happy they decided to do a first look. It helped us gain time pre-ceremony to capture some of the sweetest, most intimate moments.
At their reception, family and friends danced the night away, toasting to the beautiful couple. The cocktail hour and dinner served was absolutely delicious. Could you tell we loved it from all the tasty looking images above? We love that Wendy and Michael decided to end the night with sparklers. Everything about this wedding was spectacular. A total dream.
